You can set up several lists (like "To Do", "Doing" and "Done") and move tasks between them as they progress. 5. https://www.rescuetime.com/: This tool tracks the time you spend on applications and websites, providing you an accurate picture of your day. It's an essential tool for understanding how you work and where your time goes. 6. https://zapier.com/: Essentially an automation tool. You can create 'Zaps' which are workflows that connect your apps and automate repetitive tasks. Of course, the best tools for you will depend on your specific needs, workflow, and the nature of your work. These are just some suggestions, and I've found a lot of value in each of them. I hope this helps and I'm excited to see what other tools the community can recommend!

Not many replies to this topic? So let me recommend what I use: AlomWare Toolbox (www.alomware.com). Great for clipboard history, window control, text expansion, searchable screenshots, and things like that. Their forum has some good tips and tricks for it.

Thanks, BarryG — that’s a solid recommendation.
AlomWare Toolbox sounds like the kind of utility that fits well into the “productivity glue” category: small features that save a few seconds each time, but add up over a full workday.
The features you mentioned are especially useful on desktop PCs:
  1. Clipboard history — great for repeated copy/paste work.
  2. Window control — helpful for multi-monitor or heavy multitasking setups.
  3. Text expansion — a big time-saver for email replies, commands, signatures, and templates.
  4. Searchable screenshots — useful if you need to capture and later find information quickly.
  5. Automation/tips from the forum — always a plus when a tool has an active knowledge base or user community.
For anyone trying tools like this, I’d suggest starting with just one or two features first, such as clipboard history and text expansion, rather than enabling everything at once. That makes it easier to see what actually improves your workflow.
Good addition to the thread — utilities like this often don’t get mentioned as much as OneNote, Todoist, Trello, etc., but they can be just as valuable for day-to-day desktop productivity.
