After getting a new PC, we have to install lots apps to make it work for us. My question is Where you download these software from? (Most time)

Many of the download sites are cluttered with "extras" which you can usually avoid by selecting a custom install and rejecting all the add-on junk so I always try to obtain direct from the software originator where possible.

General rule of thumb is...... go to the manufacture's own website for downloading its products.

Example : I recently install the win 8.1 prop preview into my VMware Player.
I needed to install Malwarebytes ( I don't trust Windows Defender too much ).
I went to Malwarebytes website for download although it is also available in CNET which is well known and reputable by its own rights.

well, all of us know that it would be better to download software from their official site, but there you can only get the latest ones~~

Ninite, FileHippo and MajorGeeks for the free software. Official vendor's site for paid software and driver's/bios.

Mainly the official sites, but I trust SnapFiles, they announce about attached bugs.
