Windows 7 Which version windows media player

I am running windows 7, how do I determine which version of windows media player I have installed?

I hate WMP and all of it's built in by default automatic features! I use Media Player Classic for playback Codec Guide: K-Lite Codec Pack - Windows 7 codecs and ther stuff for editing and burning.

I use iTunes now only because I run both an iPod and iPod Touch, otherwise I'd be back to using the MPC as well.

My only complaint with MPC was playing DVDs; when you browse menus in fullscreen the menu options move but the place you have to click to select the options doesn't move with it, so it's a bit of "move your mouse around the screen until the menu button lights up and hope it stays lit up while you click." Otherwise, great.

With WMP open click on "HELP" followed by "About Windows Media Player" and you will be able to see which version you have. Hopefully this helps... By default it is version 12 in Windows 7..
