Is there some usb key that i can plug in my LaCie USB external hard drive, witch key would make it possible for me to reach from my Laptop? Or is it possible to reach that usb HD by wifi and not by USB?

thank you!

Here:

Hp Pavillion dv6000 - AMD Turion 64x2 TL-58 1,90GHhz
Vista Family Premium
LaCie 301285U 500 GB external Hard disk
Linksys WRT54G wireless router

I have a 400 gigs LaCie USB external hard drive that i use for storage (powered by a wall outlet, not by usb).

I'd like to know if i can make this external hard disk wirelessly accessible from my laptop.

thanks

I don't think you can do it. Wifi bandwith is not sufficient for HDD throughput thats why it has to be USB 1.1 or USB 2.

Give it a few years and then maybe...
