Windows 10 Will the upgrade start automatically?

I am wondering if the upgrade begins automatically or the user will be prompted before the upgrade process begins?

Hi Blutarsky,
apparently the upgrade is being rolled out step by step so in theory at some point you will receive a further message from Microsoft telling you the upgrade is ready. Can you take a look in your installed updates and see in the upgrade has failed at any point?

My update page just changed to what is shown below. I have seen no large downloads and do not have the $Windows folder on my system. No other notifications regarding the upgrade...

Could they possibly be changing the upgrade process?
