Does anybody think that the life of Windows 7 will be extended like XP was? I had blood work yesterday and the hospital is just now switching from XP to Windows 7. Given the cool reception and now hardware problems with Windows 8.1 does anybody see major pressure from businesses about changing from Windows 7?

Windows 7 is supported until 2020 when all updates will stop. So you can use it for another 5 years if you want. After that no more updates as with Windows XP.
I honestly think it will go that route, windows 8 is overall a flop and 7 was a great release so I think it will get an extended lifespan like XP.
