I think he's talking out his a** to be honest.
Software either installs and works or it doesn't.
A google search of "software crush" returns nothing relevant.
I know for a fact that Open Office works in Win 7 64 bit.
But that's besides the point, let's test yoiur memory.
First download Memtest 4.00 from here
http://www.memtest.org/
Download the iso .zip and extract the .iso file.
Burn that file to a CD and boot to the CD and let the diagnostic run.
It will take some time and will find and report problems.
If you get errors then replacing the ram is in order.
Get the guy that built it to replace the memory.
Don't buy cheap generic ram, go with Corsair, Crucial or another well known brand.
Corsair and Crucial's websites can tell...
