Windows 7 Win 7: no option to Change window glass colors

Solution
Thank you David,
I googled for "the current video card may support Aero with a driver that is compliant with the Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM]. Contact the manufacturer of our com outer or video card for a DDM" and found the suggestion to install a driver from my video card manufacturer. The HP spec specified Video Graphics NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS so i entered this PN ay their site and nvidia installed (took long minutes) its stuff and voila. I can finally have my preferred colors :)
Thanks again for your time

Is your Desktop Windows manager running ?

Start > search box, type ser > press Enter key > scroll down to Desktop Windows...
under Status heading, it should be ...Started
under Startup Type, it should be........Automatic
If it is not, left side, click Start the service.
Exit Services window.

See if you can get your Window color and appearance window.

An image from 'Win 7: no option to Change window glass colors'. Windows service settings for Desktop Window Manager show it is set to Automatic and currently Started.
