Hello everyone,

I have been experiencing a few BSOD's recently once while playing Far Cry 3, and the most recent while playing Payday 2.

I didn't pay too much attention to Far Cry, As I was playing on optimal setting, when in game, I set everything to Ultra and assumed that I cause the crash my self.

But then It happened again while playing Payday 2 while I was in the menu screen? Usually these happen once and a while and its no problem, but this is becoming more frequent.

Any help would be great?

Thank you :)

Solution
Hi Shea,
the bsod happens to stop damage occurring to your machine so don't worry too much. Shea make sure your settings are set like this:

Go to Start and type in sysdm.cpl and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that Automatically restart is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select Small memory dump (256 kB) in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as %systemroot%\Minidump << where your .dmp files can be
found later.
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

This is so your machine will produce dump files. These can be found via the windows folder in a folder called Minidump. Once...

Hi,
bugcheck 124 means a hardware error has occurred. This can be caused by overclocking, high temperatures, bios in need of updating and faulty processor.
BiosVersion = 1502
BiosReleaseDate = 03/02/2011
BaseBoardProduct = P8P67 PRO
BaseBoardVersion = Rev 1.xx
Pre-B3 revision motherboard users can also download and use the new B3 revision BIOS, drivers and utilities. Go to the ASUS support site at Link Removed to download the latest BIOS version.

Hi its still shea im just having trouble with my password so i just associated my fb account with this one.

Iv got the bsod twice now but the main problem now seems to be the game is crashing when ever it wants at the start up and even 40 minutes in im very confused this is a pc my friend helped me build and he said it shouldn't be doing this

Hi Shea,
did you read my post above? That explains what we need to help you best.

Check the motherboard has the latest Bios update as this can sometimes need doing with new systems.
