Hello Matt,

Did this occur immediately after installing Windows r do you recall installing any new software or making any major changes to the operating system?

Go to Start > Run, and type cmd. Now type sfc /scannow

Hi
Many thanks for both of your replys.
I ran sfc /scannow and found no problems which is good.

I did install Acronis home backup 2010 a week or so ago, i did uninstall this but still recieved BSOD after this had been uninstalled so don't believe it is that.

However bcarroll you have just jogged my memory about a change i did in my BIOS end of this week which relates to a memory setting. I will go back and change it back to it's default which i think i disabled and will go from there, will let you know after i have tested this.

Thanks again both of you
Cheers
Matt
