In Windows 10, it works fine for 2-3 days, then all apps fail, mostly with "not responding" message
at the top, eventually they unfreeze (but still unstable) allowing just enough time to exit them all
and re-boot. I have to reboot 3-4 times in a row else it runs slow.
And these are long reboots ~5 minutes each.
I can understand one reboot, but why 3-4 and why so long?

I have also tried numerous other things:
MS Trouble shooter
“Admin Prompt” - sfc /scannow
Checked drivers are up to date
checked Windows updates

Solution
First good sign with Win 11. I had a "not responding" appear in Chrome, which is normally curtains.
But this this it went away, and everything else worked fine. I still wait 3 days to be sure.
No good - instead of getting "not responding", I get the indefinite whirling circle, which can only be stopped by Ctrl-Alt-Del.
Still, at least with Win 11, I only have to do 1 reboot every 2 days... rather than 3-4 reboots with Win 10.
Hi all
No replies, so I have tried upgrading to Windows 11. So far so good, but I will give it 3 days to be sure the bug is fixed.
