What’s New​

• Profanity Filter for Voice Typing
• New toggle in voice typing lets you enable or disable the profanity filter (Win + H → settings → Filter profanity).
• Speech Recap in Narrator
• “Speech recap” lets you revisit what Narrator has spoken, access history, live transcription, and copy the last spoken phrase using new shortcuts:
• Narrator key + Alt + X: Open Speech Recap.
• Narrator key + Ctrl + X: Copy last spoken phrase.
• Narrator key + X: Re-hear last phrase.

Changes and Improvements​

• Annual renewal of Insider Preview build security certificates (current expiration: 8/11/2026).
• Taskbar & System Tray:
• Wider/more visible “needy” app indicator (pill) when an app needs attention.
• Accessibility flyout in Quick Settings groups features by vision, hearing, motor, mobility, with voice access now included.
• Search: Improved support for web search providers for EEA region.
• Windows Share:
• In-line local image editing (crop, rotate, filters, compress) in the share window.
• Share directly to apps from context menu in File Explorer/desktop.
• Settings:
• New FAQs section under Settings > System > About.
• Updated printer rename dialog.
• Input:
• Visual/animation tweak for touch dragging feedback on touch PCs.
• Other:
• New field in pnputil /enum-drivers command shows driver type and attestation signature status.

Fixes​

• Resolved issues with text displaying incorrectly, safe mode boot errors, File Explorer/Start menu crashes, taskbar/app focus, Japanese/Chinese input bugs, and more.
• Specific fixes across Taskbar, Input, Settings, Voice Access, and “Other” sections. Full list available in the source.

Known Issues​

• PIN/biometric sign-in errors on Copilot+ PCs when switching channels.
• Taskbar not showing acrylic effect for some users.
• “Reset this PC” does not work on this build; use “Go Back” or clean install instead.
• Settings may crash when opening microphone properties.
