Windows 7 Windows 7 64bit - Wifi Network Adapter keeps disabled

Dear all,

I have installed a Windows 7 Prof. 64bit (Build 7600) on my PC (Asus P7P55D mainboard),
I have tried 2 USB Wifi network adapter (ASUS USB-13N and LevelOne WUA-0615), and both have the same problem.

Everything works fine except the wifi network adapter keeps "Disabled" even I have installed the driver successfully.
I think the drivers were installed properly as the ASUS one said it supports on Win7 64bit and somebody said the Level1 one should work on Win7 64bit, too.
Once plugged to the PC, they show no "!" sign in Device Manager but in the "Control Panel"->"Network and Internet"->"Network Connections", the wifi USB keeps on "Disabled". Even I tried to "Enable" it, the device kept disabled.

A strange thing is, if I tried to unplug it, the windows shows "Not connected".

How can I solve this? I think it should be a software problem rather than a hardware one.

Thanks.

Do you recall the sute where the ASUS USB-13N is Windows 7 compatible?

Hi,

I have solved the problem.
It was due to the BIOS of the mainboard, ASUS P7P55D, had some bugs on it.
After updating the BIOS, it works.

Thanks anyway.
