Windows 7 Windows 7 Media Problems

Before switching to W7 from Vista, I backed up my files onto an external hard drive. After I reimaged my laptop with the new W7 base image, I used the system restore tools to pickup all my old files. For some reason now, while all my word documents work, only about half of my music and none of my videos can be played. Please help.

Why would you use system restore.

Why didn't you just copy them to a flash drive and copy them back over in the correct directories.

Exactly, the restore probably messed up the clean install. Probably have to re-install and just copy files and reinstall the applications.
