Hi,

I am running Windows7 ultimate 32 bit and am about to upgrade the PC(memory and processor).

Can I install the 64 version over the 32 version without loosing data?

Thx for your advice.

Hello Willy,

Most all of us agree that an upgrade is not the route to take. It leaves useless files on your system and can cause conflicts.

Save all you Documents, Pictures, contacts, videos, music, etc to a flash drive,

Be aware, you will need to re-install your 3rd party applications.

There i poll going on now and "clean" install is winning by a mile.

You will no doubt carry over unnecessary files from the 32-bit edition.

It is done by a new partition and a clean install.
Now I have them both and I can let the 32bit version bleed to death while I install the needed user software that is on the 32bit version..

Thx a lot
