Hi all, im new here so bear with me if I didn't post this in the right place. Here's my question...I'm currently running a falsely-activated copy of 7 Ultimate 64bit. I'm thinking about buying the upgrade to Windows 8 pro 64bit. If i do the boxed upgrade will activation be successful in windows 8? Any help plz.

First I doubt it will pass at MS and second we don't help hackers here.

Buy the upgrade and use the well known method for installing it as a clean install rather than an upgrade. Format your drive before installing to ensure no trace remains of your previous unmentionables. This way you will end up with a clean and legal copy of Windows.

But if I install it using the clean install option will it even do that considering its an upgrade disk? And second, if I go that route, will it activate in that scenario?
