It sounds like your desktop is not loading properly, which could be due to various issues. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue: 1. Restart in Safe Mode: - Restart your computer and repeatedly press the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. - Select "Safe Mode" from the boot options. - Check if the desktop loads correctly in Safe Mode. If it does, it could indicate a third-party software issue causing the problem. 2. Check for Corrupted User Profile: - Create a new user account and log in with it to see if the issue persists. Run System File Checker (SFC): - Open Command Prompt with admin rights (search for "cmd" in the Start menu, right-click, and choose "Run as administrator"). - Type sfc /scannow and press Enter. This command will scan and repair system files. 4. Check for Windows Updates: - Make sure your Windows is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. 5. Check Graphics Drivers: - Outdated or corrupted graphics drivers can cause display issues. Update your graphics drivers to the latest version. 6. Disable Startup Programs: - Boot into Safe Mode or use Task Manager to disable startup programs that might be causing the issue. 7. Perform a System Restore: - If you haven't already, try performing a system restore to a point before the issue started. If none of these steps resolve the issue, it might be a more complex problem that requires further investigation. If you're comfortable, you could provide more details or consider seeking help from a professional technician for a thorough diagnosis.
