Recent updates were attempted for Windows 8.1 unfortunately they looped and after over many hours (over 24) I had to turn the PC off.
Then I ran the program to troubleshoot updates and it reported some errors which it further reported as fixed.
I then ran the updates (important only) again and they appeared to be successful.
However when I restart the PC I am greeted with the line “Updating 1 of 7 do not turn off PC” in order to get by this I have to turn off the PC.
The message does not appear on a cold boot.
I then checked the Windows Update in Control panel and it informed me that no updates were available.
I have been experiencing problems with windows update for some considerable time. But I would like to fix this problem.
