Click to expand... Try deleting wmp media library and then re-adding it back. Follow these steps: 1. Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services, here look for the services that start with “Windows Media Player” 2. Click the stop button for each service that starts with “Windows Media Player” 3. Open up an explorer window and copy-paste into the address bar: %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\ 4. Highlight all the files in this folder (by pressing Ctr-D) and move them (cut-paste) to a backup directory. 5. See if you can open a media file now.
