Windows 7 Windows Media Player opens in small window only

Although this is NOT a new thread, I am re-writing this in the hope that someone may inform me how I can open EVERY video file I click on "TO A LARGE WINDOW, AND NOT A SMALL ONE WHICH I HAVE TO STRETCH EACH TIME TO SEE THE CLIP OR MOVIE"

i have the same problem in addition it doesn't show controls in full screen tried to find any solution but to no avail so i gave it up and started using VLC.

Right click the WMP icon on the taskbar, right click on WMP (2nd up), click on properties and in the drop-down menu for 'Run' choose Maximized.
