My problem is when using windows media player to burn a music CD, where does it till you that the CD is full. In prier versions there is/was a time line stamp that would let you know how many songs you could put on that media and in third party burning software as well. So when using this software how do I know how many songs I cant put on the disc?

In Windows Media Player, determining the available space on a CD for burning music can be a bit different compared to older versions or third-party burning software that might provide a progress bar or time stamp indicating the remaining space. Here's how you can estimate the number of songs you can burn on a CD using Windows Media Player: 1. Check the CD Capacity: - Standard audio CDs typically have a capacity of 74 to 80 minutes of audio or 650-700 MB of data. - Determine the capacity of the CD you are using. This information can usually be found on the CD packaging or in the properties of the blank CD in File Explorer. 2. Estimate Song Size: - Determine the average file size of a song you want to burn. For example, a...

This information can usually be found on the CD packaging or in the properties of the blank CD in File Explorer. 2. Estimate Song Size: - Determine the average file size of a song you want to burn. For example, a typical MP3 file may range from 3MB to 6MB depending on the quality and length. 3. Calculate the Number of Songs: - Divide the total CD capacity by the average file size of the songs. This will give you an estimate of the number of songs that can fit on the CD. For example, if your CD can hold 700 MB and your average song size is 5 MB:
Code:
Number of Songs = CD Capacity (in MB) / Average Song Size (in MB) Number of Songs = 700 MB / 5 MB ≈ 140 songs
4. Burn the Songs: - Add the songs to the Windows Media Player burn list up to the estimated number of songs that can fit on the CD. - Start the burning process. Windows Media Player will typically alert you if there isn't enough space on the CD for the selected songs. While Windows Media Player may not provide a specific time stamp or progress bar indicating the remaining space on the CD, by following these steps, you can estimate the number of songs that can be burned based on the CD capacity and song file sizes. If you encounter any issues during the burning process or have specific questions about burning CDs in Windows Media Player, feel free to provide more details for further assistance!
