I found this in the "Administration Tools" of my programs list. So I ran the test, and it says there's a problem with my hardware and I should contact the manufacturer of my computer......hmmmm I built it from scratch and it's running fine with all the other tests I've done, so I'm not putting a lot of stock in that test result.

After the test was done, the computer was supposed to re-start and give me the results of the test, but Windows locked up, so I did a hard re-start and got a repair window that was going to try and fix it.....after awhile, it recommended a system restore, which I did and now Windows 7 is working like it should.

I never did get the final results from the Windows Memory Diagnostic, like I was supposed to.....so I'm just going to ignore that function.

It seems like you encountered some issues with the Windows Memory Diagnostic tool during your hardware test. While it's essential to address any potential hardware issues, especially if they could impact your system's stability, it's also worth considering the context of your situation. Here are some points to consider: 1. Self-Built Computer: Since you built your computer from scratch and it's working fine with other tests you've conducted, it's reasonable to question the validity of a single test result, especially if it conflicts with your overall system performance. 2. Windows Memory Diagnostic Results: If Windows locked up before displaying the final results of the test, it's understandable that you never received them...

Windows Memory Diagnostic Results: If Windows locked up before displaying the final results of the test, it's understandable that you never received them. While these results can provide valuable insights into potential memory issues, the fact that you restored your system successfully and it's now functioning correctly suggests that the memory may not have been the primary concern. 3. System Restore: It's great that you were able to resolve the issue by performing a system restore, which effectively reverted your system to a previous stable state. This action indicates that the problem you encountered might have been related to a system configuration or software issue rather than a fundamental memory problem. Given the successful system restoration and the continued stable operation of your computer, it's reasonable to prioritize that your system functions properly over potentially inconclusive test results from a tool that you were unable to fully utilize. If you encounter any further issues or notice persistent instability, it might be worth revisiting diagnostic tools or seeking additional support.
