Windows 7 Windows Won't Let Me Log In

Hi,
I've just bought a new acer laptop with windows 7. I went through all of the start up screens and chose a simple password for my user.
When i went to log in for the first time it wouldn't let me and said my password was wrong.
I've tried various different spellings incase I did it wrong but think that this is virtually impossible as I had to type it in twice.
When I try to reset my password it says i need the password reset disk.
I've researched this and to create one i need to be logged in.
Please help!

Have you tried with the caps on and off?

yes, tried all that.
had to go back to supplier for a password removal disk
it's all sorted now
