I have a good one for ya! Everything about my system is working fine except... video files. I accidentally deleted 4 or 5 files dealing with playing .avi videos.from the registry. So what I'm looking for is a way to find exactly what files are missing from what KEY, and to restore that KEY. Is there a way to do this? Thanks

It might just be easier to install a decent codec pack like K-Lite Codec Pack which is a good free pack that includes many codecs used around the web today. Part of it's installation runs a check on codec issues, which may fix your problem. Other than that why not use System Restore? Reinstalling media player may also fix your issue.
