I am currently running 64bit iTunes v9.0.3.15 on an HP Pavillion. The program has never worked well and frequently freezes. I periodically have had trouble syncing my iPods and have been totally unable to do so today. Thinking the problem was with my iPod, I restored it before syncing. It goes all the way through the process and appears to be working fine, until the following pops up:

"The iPod 'Jim's iPod' cannot be synced. The required files cannot be found."
I then have to force close the iPod and iTunes and am left with a completely empty iPod. I removed and re-installed iTunes, rebooted the PC, restored the iPod, but still get this message. I then put the iPod on my laptop, which runs NT and iTunes v6 and synced it with without incident. I've looked through the iTunes discussions on the forum but can't find anything that seems to apply to my situation. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,
Jim
