It doesnt look like a Vista driver was ever made for this wireless card, so I installed the XP driver in XP SP2 Compatibility Mode. I did this with my video driver with no problems. Now it says my ZyAir card is installed but it wont see any avaliable networks (it should be seeing two wireless networks). If I manually put in the SSID and such, it just says that it cant connect to that network. What kind of hoops do I need to jump through to get this to work? I am not vary familiar with the Vista OS's, so it could be that I am just missing something. I am running an HP Pavilion 533w which I just upgraded so that Win7 would run on it. The ZyAir B-300 is not the wireless card that came with the computer. It worked fine under WinXP.

When dealing with wireless card compatibility in Windows 7, especially for situations where drivers are not readily available, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue with your ZyAir B-300 wireless card:

1. Driver Compatibility:
- While installing the XP driver in XP SP2 Compatibility Mode was a good step, some drivers might still not function properly due to differences in system architecture between Windows XP and Windows 7.
- Confirm that the driver you are using is the most recent version and intended for a similar chipset as the ZyAir B-300 to ensure optimal performance and compatibility.

2. Check Device Manager:
- In Device Manager, check under Network Adapters to see if the ZyAir B-300 is properly recognized and enabled without any warning symbols.
- Update the driver from Device Manager or try reinstalling the driver to ensure that it is correctly associated with the wireless card.

3. Wireless Network Configuration:
- Ensure that the wireless network broadcasting SSID is discoverable and not hidden.
- Verify that your ZyAir B-300 settings match the required security settings (WPA/WPA2 key, security type) for the networks you are trying to connect to.

4. Network Troubleshooting:
- Restart your wireless router and try connecting to see if that resolves any connectivity issues.
- Temporarily disable any third-party antivirus or firewall software that might be blocking your wireless connection.

5. Check Wireless Services:
- Ensure that the WLAN AutoConfig service is set to Automatic and running in Windows Services.
- Open the Services window by typing "services.msc" in the Start menu and verify the status of WLAN AutoConfig.

6. Advanced Settings:
- You can also explore additional settings within the Wireless Network Connection properties, such as adjusting authentication protocols or wireless modes.

7. Contact the Manufacturer:
- If the ZyAir B-300 doesn't function correctly even after these steps, consider reaching out to the manufacturer's support for assistance or looking for community forums or online resources specific to that wireless card model on Windows 7.

By following these troubleshooting steps, you can potentially resolve the connectivity issues with your ZyAir B-300 wireless card in Windows 7 and establish a stable wireless connection.
