📎 AI Summary:
This WindowsForum thread centers on a user experiencing repeated Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) errors, specifically BugCheck 3B, suspected to be caused by faulty drivers or hardware issues. Despite the user not intentionally overclocking, their CPU appears to be running at 4.3GHz, which is higher than the processor's max turbo speed, suggesting possible automatic overclocking or misconfiguration. The troubleshooting advice includes updating the BIOS, installing service packs, removing or updating specific drivers (notably related to USB controllers, graphics, and audio), and verifying hardware stability, though the user is confused about some hardware settings and updates. Overall, the tone is technical and solution-oriented, aiming to identify the root cause of system instability.

Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.

Could not read faulting driver name
Probably caused by : win32k.sys ( win32k!SFMLOGICALSURFACE::OwnsSurfaceCleanup+2d )

Followup: MachineOwner

You still need to update your bios and of course the service pack too...

The chkdsk scan looks at the state of your HDD and if possible repairs any corrupt sectors. I see from the sfc scan that the number 7601 is there which should mean that SP1 is installed. Do you still get any freezing or bsod issues?

Not yet.
