I use my PC in a dark environment and brightness of my monitor is high to use like this, mainly in the night.
I want to find a way to control the screen brightness, either through the windows or any external program, so that it can automatically change the brightness towards the evening.

I can change brightness in monitor, but I want something most automatic, easy to alternate in Windows.

Solution
Other than on the monitor itself or the graphics card no there isn't a way to adjust the brightness on a desktop because the screen isn't tied into the computer the way a laptop display is.
