I have having problems with my Keyboard, which stops working occassionly (when I press a key it gives a click sound through the speakers). Once it stops it will not work until I log off or restart.... however the mouse works perfectly. (I am using Microsoft.... Keyboard & Mouse 7000 off of the same USB device).

The only thing that may or may not be connected is this last time I had held down a key for a long time while I was thinking about changing a phrase in a document. I am not for sure that this was the case the other times or not. It is a little frustrating to say the least.

have you tried to use different USB ports? Also check to see if there are any driver updates:
