Hi all,

Just a few days ago, I got this very annoying error message 0x80070570. It seems to occur sparely, but when it does occur, I for example, can't open my browser Google Chrome, cant run Windows update and all my music programs (I produce music as a hobby) dont function well anymore (cant save files, doesnt load files proper etc.). Its just really strange, I formatted my laptop (ASUS laptop with Windows 8.1) totally like a week ago. I tried running System Restore, but that is also blocked by this error( which says that the file is either damaged or unreadable)...Anyone who can help me out with this?

The numbers = an address which is corrupt… it could be on the ram but I suspect the hard drive first.

Please explain exactly what "I formatted my laptop (ASUS laptop with Windows 8.1) totally like a week ago"… as formatting wipes ALL data from a harddrive.

Note: If you use System restore when the computer is in safe mode, you cannot undo the restore operation. However, you can easily run System restore again and choose a different restore point, if one exists

Also, try performing SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer to see if there are any corrupt system files.
