Hello. My name is Kurt but I use Orsini online.

I am not sure if this is a good place for this post but here goes...

I have just purchased an ASUS VG279 monitor but I have having some trouble with the options menu. I cannot move between the options. Neither the mouse, the tab keys, the arrow keys nor the enter key have any effect.

There is also a red dot in the middle of the screen.

So, I am looking for some advice or a lead to some other source of information.

I appreciate any assistance anyone can give.

Yours truly,
Orsini

Are you talking about the monitors menu? That can only be controlled with the buttons on the monitor itself. I'd consult the manual if you're having trouble. The red dot may either be a defect or some calibration thing.
