.) CAUTION: Make certain prior to any of the troubleshooting or testing or repairs are done TO PHYSICALLY DISCONNECT OR REMOVE ANY AND ALL SECONDARY INTERNAL OR EXTERNAL HARD DRIVES FROM YOUR MOTHERBOARD AND POWER SUPPLY!! IF YOU DON'T DO THIS YOU MAY EXPERIENCE INDETERMINATE OR UNEXPECTED RESULTS!!
.) Scan/remove all viruses found using the existing AV program on your computer.
.) Next, download the free antispyware virus tool from Link Removed AND scan/remove all found spyware viruses.
.) Power off your PC for at least 5 min., reboot and retest your folder issue. If fixed, you had a bad spyware virus and are now fixed!
If none of these work, please post back your computer specs; Make/Model, Desktop PC or laptop? OEM PC (Dell, Acer, HP, Toshiba) or self-built PC or custom-built PC. If you have one of these last 2 we need complete HW specs such as MAKE/MODEL MOTHERBOARD, MAKE/MODEL CPU CHIP, MAKE/MODEL GPU CARD/CHIP, MAKE/MODEL ALL RAM STICKS, MAKE/MODEL HARD DRIVE AND CAPACITY; MAKE/MODEL/WATTAGE OF YOUR PSU.
