Windows 7 Concerns About Downgrading from Windows 7 to Vista on New Alienware Laptop

i dont like windows 7 as much as vista so i want to switch back to vista....i have a new alienware laptop that came with windows 7 already loaded onto it, i am just afraid if i switch back to vista it might ruin my laptop since thats the operating format it came with. do i have anything to worry about or will everything work fine if i switch to vista? i wouldn't be worried if it had vista loaded onto it before. sorry not very computer savvy...

also if i actually switch to vista will all my data be lost? thanks for your help

I hope you have a spare copy of Vista handy OEM is only good for one machine. I've used both and can't find anything redeeming, exclusive or worth keeping from Vista.

You should be able to delete the partition from Disk Management.
