I just finished building a new system and decided to install Windows 7 RTM on it and waiting out the the official release date hoping that since it's the RTM I can use my "offical" serial number to register when the product is "offically" here.

Once of the things that I've noticed is the general lack of Windows 7 drivers which doesn't surprise me. Having said that I'm in need of a new monitor and I'm wondering, in general, how compatible the Vista drivers for thte same hardware device when used on Windows 7?

The Vista drivers are near 99% compatible with Windows 7. Windows 7 uses the same driver foundation as Vista. Just make sure to use the correct driver for your platform(32 bit or 64 bit). Also, if only a single driver is available(a driver that does not specify 32 or 64 bit) it should be ok for either.
