Hi.
My grandchild has an eMachines Notebook, that is defective.

It's the HDD, that has issues.

The HDD is a Thoshiba MK6465GSX.

The Notebook has difficulties when booting, and cannot get out of post.

I have the HDD connected to another computer now, and can see it in Computer Manage window.

What to do, to save data ?.

Solution
If you have the drive connected in addition to the internal drive of the new computer you can just use file explorer (my computer) to navigate to the folder(s) containing the data you want to recover and copy the file(s)/folder(s) across to the internal drive of the computer.
