📎 AI Summary:
The thread discusses an issue where images embedded in emails disappear after sending or saving drafts, causing frustration. Neemobeer explains that this behavior is typical due to security settings that disable automatic image loading, suggesting users can manually enable images if desired. The original poster notes that the problem began recently, despite having emailed images successfully in the past, and plans to explore options for displaying images manually.

Whenever I post a picture in an email, it disappears after I send it. When the person replies, the image has a little box and an X ... this doesn't always happen but it happens enough to be annoying. It also happens if I save the email as a draft. When I reopen it to edit, the image appears as I have mentioned above. Thanks.

Solution
That's normal in most email clients. Image download is disabled by default especially those that link to external URLs. It's a security feature and I'd recommend leaving it that way. There should always be a button or link to display images.

Thanks for the info. This must be something new - I've been emailing images in email for years. It only started a couple of weeks ago. I'll check about the link you mention. Thanks again.
