I have this problem. I can get on my Ubunutu machine and see the windows machine. I can bring up the work group icon for the windows 7 machine on my Ubunutu machine. Then Windows 7 wants a pass word. I do not have a clue to what it would be. It is not the administers password. How do I find it out?

Solution
Typically you would use an account on the Windows 7 machine to authenticate against. However you may need to proceed the username with the machine name as such:

Username: Win7MachineName\UsernameHere
Password: ******
