Windows 7 Lost Removable Drives on Windows 7: How to Restore Them?

i have a card reader that will read 4 to 6 types of cards and it has 5 usb ports as well
and all of them used to be there but now they are gone...fyi this is a multi boot computer
with 3 OS 's installed if i choose a different OS they are all there...all OS 's are windows 7.
everythig is ok in the device manager...and no they are not in disk management .so i am a
little bit perplexed and the back of my head is starting to get bald.....
