📎 AI Summary:
The thread is about adjusting Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business’s font size and screen colors because the current display is too small to read. The main answer states that Money itself has no built-in controls for font sizing or recoloring, so the recommended approach is to use Windows Accessibility/display settings (Text size, display Scaling, and optionally contrast themes or Magnifier). Overall sentiment is practical and helpful, with the caveat that Windows scaling may cause slight blurriness in this legacy app.

Hello,
I have "Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business
Version 17.0.150.3817" installed.

I need to configure the font because the one displayed is too small and difficult to read, and also configure the color of the different screens.

How can I do this?

Regards

Hello,
With Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business, there is generally no built-in setting inside the program to change the interface font size or recolor its screens. The practical workaround is to change Windows display/accessibility settings, which will also affect Money. Microsoft guidance for this kind of legacy app points users to Windows Text size / Scale rather than an in-app Money setting.

What to do

1) Make the text bigger

  • Open Start > Settings > Accessibility > Text size.
  • Move the slider to the right.
  • Click Apply.
This increases text size in Windows menus and many older applications.

2) Make the whole program bigger

Hello,
With Microsoft Money Plus Home & Business, there is generally no built-in setting inside the program to change the interface font size or recolor its screens.

If text is still too small:
  • Open Start > Settings > System > Display.
  • Under Scale, change it from 100% to 125% or 150%.
  • Open Money again and test.
This enlarges text, buttons, and interface elements system-wide.

3) Improve colors/contrast

If the problem is not only size but also readability:
  • Open Start > Settings > Accessibility > Contrast themes.
  • Choose a theme.
  • Click Apply.
Windows also supports Color filters if contrast themes are too strong.

4) Use Magnifier for quick zoom

If you only need occasional enlargement:
  • Press Windows + Plus (+) to open Magnifier.
  • Press Windows + Esc to close it.

Important note

Because Microsoft Money Plus is an old program, increasing Windows scaling can sometimes make it look a little blurry or oversized on modern high-DPI displays.

Best settings to try first

I suggest this order:
  • Text size: increase slightly.
  • If still too small, set Scale to 125%.
  • If readability is still poor, try a Contrast theme.
If you want, I can give you the exact best settings for Windows 11 step by step, depending on your screen size and resolution.
