I am using windows 7 and i am not getting any sound.

Motherboard make is Asrock G31M-GS R2.0.
Ram: 4GB.

I am getting the red cross on the speaker icon in taskbar. When i right click this icon and go to playback devices, it says, "Speakers Realtek High Definition Audio Not plugged in".

On opening up the Realtek HD Audio manager, it states that "You are seeing a blank page because there is no audio devices plugged in the system. To activate GUI please plug an audio device into the system". Is this because of a faulty sound port on the motherboard?

I have gone to the realtek website and installed the various drivers each one at a time but none of them worked.

Does anyone here know of a solution?

The only other thing I might suggest is perhaps double check your system BIOS settings and make sure that the onboard audio is not disabled?

EDIT: This is the driver that works for me on my ASRock G31M-S, Link Removed

You may need to install additional drivers. I did not see anything on the AS ROCK site, but you might check the FAQ.
