Sometimes when I'm playing various games the screen goes blank and I receive the message, "out of range". I then have to reboot my comp to do anything as the keyboard will not respond to any input. Is this message referencing my hardware's inability to run certain games at hi-res settings? I use an Nvidia 660ti card which as far as I know will run everything out there at hi-res with no problem. Also - when this happens I'm not playing an online version of the games. They are all single player/offline. Some more stats:

Windows 7 64 bit support pack 1, Cyberpower PC desktop - i7 quad core 3.2 ghz mob, 24 gigs ram. Comp is 3 years old.
Games in which I have received message - Crysis 3, Borderlands 2.

Any ideas?
