Windows 7 Screen Brightness Problem

So I just installed Windows 7 and I'm having some trouble with my screen brightness.

I installed the OS with the screen brightness turned all the way down when plugged in. Now this is the maximum screen brightness the screen with go to with the machine plugged in. When I unplug however the screen brightness will go up to it's real maximum. Any suggestions on a fix?

The machine is a new Dell XT2 tablet.

Try either disabling or enable "Adaptive Brightness"

I'm not sure yet what this service does 100%, but this may be the answer you are looking for......

Check in the bios to make sure the maximum brightness level isn't set too low.
