📎 AI Summary:
A user queried in August 2020 about videos in Microsoft Edge defaulting to muted and how to set sound to always be on or off. The respondent suggested that if system sound is enabled, then video audio in Edge depends on the website's own controls, implying there's no setting in Edge to universally disable or enable sound for all videos. Overall, the discussion centers on browser audio control limitations with no definitive solution provided.

Hello,
When I view a video in Microsoft Edge the sound is OFF. I need to put it ON clicking the microphone in the video.
How can I put it always ON or Off ?
Thanks and best regards

Solution
For what site? If the sound is on at the system level then it's on for Edge, any audio controls embedded in a video are controlled by the hosting site
