The thread discusses audio and performance issues experienced when running Paint with Media Player 12 active, particularly audio glitches and slowdowns. The original poster suspects a driver problem with Realtek onboard sound on Windows 7 build 7057, noting difficulty in installing unsigned drivers. A contributor recommends switching to a different Windows 7 build, as build 7057 has known errors, implying the issues might stem from that version rather than specific hardware.

IM using buid 7057, hm culd be a problem wid sound drivers am using realtek 7.1 audio on board. and using the R2.17 drivers. ive checked realtek for win 7 drivers and there were alc 97 audio drivers for vista and win7, downloaded them and it asked at every step that they were not signed, ive had to click a 100 times to let them install, so i didnt...:(

so fucking annoying, and i think ur rite it seems a driver problem, as its not happening wid da rest of da folks. Any one using on board realtek on nvidia based chipset?

I'd suggest using a different build... Several errors have been reported with build 7057.. ;)
