Like many others I have no sound on my win7 ultimate, I have an ASUS P5SD2-VM motherboard with onboard sound.
My Question - If I buy a sound card will that solve the problem and if som how do I disable yhe on board sound?
Any help please
 

Solution
You may need to load some additional drivers. But for now, right click the speaker icon and select playback devices to see if you have speakers installed and selected as default.
