I received a message this morning that my Facebook account is scheduled for deletion today. I am assuming this is some sort of scan as they wanted me to log in to fb and give info-

Please verify your recent account activity & confirm this deletion request to proceed.

Anyone?

Solution
Just phishing, don't worry and don't do anything. To be sure, you can check the From email address and you'll see that there's no connection to facebook.

Look at the from address and headers, it's probably not from Facebook.

Fear and Asking for "help" are two very common social engineering tactics to get you to open booby trapped attachments and click links and enter information.
