i wonder while i was changing folder option where does it save ?
i want to write a program with some optional changes with presets and other windows 7 tweaks but am not sure where all changes are reflected.
registry ? files ?
Can u guys point me to the right direction ?
For example if folder is set to in the middle of small and medium size view, where is this saved ?

I should imagine it will saved in your user data files. If you open 'users', 'your name'.. You'll see a folder called NTUSE.dat

see screenshot. This guide may also be of some use although it's for vista, much of it still applies..

but i cant access this file, its always in use.
i mean how do i go about modifying it if its always in use ? i wont be able to effect it
i googled and it says i need to load hive using regedit. tried that and no luck, i get same error file is in use.

no, still in use. cant open it cant copy it cant compress it cant do nothing.
By the way, XP has same thing, i cant modify or even open the file :(
