I am from India.
I am planning to buy Windows 7 Home edition for my use.
I am a freelancer working from home and need to often go for 'remote desktop connection' to work.
I would like to know whether Windows 7 will restrict me here in any sense (I am currently using XP).
My question basically - what is the difference between Home and other versions and disadvantages of having only the Home edition.. appreciate detailed clarification from anyone knowledgeable. thanks.

a second question - I also would like to buy Office 2007 home edition - the same question above applies here too. disadvantages, if any please compared to other versions.

a third question - is there any vendor offering a combined (cheaper) pricing to buy both Win 7 Home and Office 2007 Home?

thank you all for reading this post.

- Link Removed not supported

- no back up to a home or business network (only full-system Backup and Restore that are found in all editions)

- no Link Removed

- cannot install additional MUI languages

Office Home :

* no Outlook
* no Access
* no Publisher
* no Groove
* no InfoPath

Office Home = Word + Powerpoint + Excell + OneNote

As for your third question, I don't know of such vendor.
