Hi Craftgirl,

have you tried setting up the account again in case settings have become corrupted? Also have you recently installed or un-installed anything that might have an effect?

Microsoft does have a FAQ web page which may be of some help:

I deleted the account and set it up again from scratch. So far so good. Here's hoping it holds. My next challenge is setting up charter email which is presently a POP account. Wondering if I should just download THUNDERBIRD for that email account.
Thanks for your suggestion for my email fix. It seemed to work.

You can, also, use Windows Live Mail. It will except multiple accounts including POP.
