Microsoft has released Service Pack 2 (SP2) for Windows Vista, in Link Removed and Link Removed versions. Vista SP2 contains a range of enhancements and changes as detailed in this Microsoft Article.

Hi Barbara Grace,

What's the system you are trying to install on? SP2 is generally well tollerated, SP1 has to be installed before hand. Vista isn't that bad, not now, it had quirks when it was first released. I nursed this release through every little attitude problem, they may be suprised in the "Windows 7 Groups" that "Vista" has high performance marks.

Re: Vista Service Pack 2

Vista was released as a dud........ While I was downloading a movie last night, it suddenly decided to go to the Yahoo mailbox directory- no reason. Download came out Ok though. Lots of little quirks etc.

Celestra, I have Vista Premium on an HP Pavilion dv6835ca laptop. I had no problems when I installed SP1, but with SP2 - it stops installing at exactly 12%. Did it through the auto. downloads and also downloaded a copy - with the same result - stops at 12%. I turned off Avast and Online Armor firewall and tried it, but no luck.
